He describes the new Bugatti as being “heavily electrified” while making use of “a very attractive combustion engine.”
The venture will be based out of Zagreb, Croatia. However, Bugatti cars will continue to be produced at the brand’s factory in Molsheim, France.
Each of the 150 Neveras built will be a bespoke creation, Rimac promises, although three standard specifications will be available: GT, Signature and Timeless.
They will only be building 150 units worldwide each with a starting price of $2.1 million and all have already been spoken for.
This is all speculation for now but where there is smoke like this, we should expect something official in the near future.
The Croatian EV-maker recently shared a YouTube video of the Rimac C_Two performing a lurid sideways drift on track as part of its development program.
The 600-strong organisation aims to make about 40 to 50 examples of the hypercar a year.
Rimac indicated that we will be seeing the full production version and official name of the C_Two at around the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
Rimac isn’t willing to go into any details for the time being regarding the upgrades they’re planning for the powertrain.
