The folks from SportAuto recently put the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 through its paces around the Hockenheim GP circuit where Uwe Senner set a superb lap time of 1:56.9.

The 992 model is the Carrera 4S specification which makes the ideal starting point for a capable off-road machine.
This power is sent to all four wheels so it should be an absolute track weapon and you would be correct.
Power reaches all four wheels via the eight-speed PDK gearbox which allows the new 911 Turbo to hit 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds (0.2s faster than 991.2).
It might be some time before we see the 3D printed pistons making their way into production Porsche’s but there are some very real mechanical benefits here.
