G-Power is said to massage X5 M’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 to produce 739 hp (551 kW) and 980 Nm of torque.
The publication did not state their source of information so take it with a pinch of salt for now but they have rarely been wrong when it comes to the Bavarian automaker.
It also makes it two seconds quicker than the BMW M4 and a whopping 8 seconds faster than the standard M2.
A hybrid or PHEV is not on the table at the moment but we should “never say never.”
The biggest indication that this is not just an M2 Competition model fitted with M Performance Parts are the M Carbon Ceramic Brakes.
The next version, due 2020, remains faithful to the twin-turbo 3.0-litre found in the current car.
As you would expect, the birth of such a model will depend on the financial feasibility of the model.
