Alfa Romeo took the covers off the hardcore Giulia GTA and GTAm in March but what if they continued on this path and developed a supercar?

To bring the offerings more in line with their German rivals, Alfa Romeo has tweaked their saloon and SUV with some technology, design and safety upgrades.
As a reminder, it packs an updated version of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 which produces 533 horsepower (398 kW).
This styling begs for a coupe variant but sadly Alfa Romeo do not plan on offering this so we will have to drool over the renderings you see here.
The brand new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA (Gran Turismo Alleggerita) sheds 100 kg compared to the regular Quadrifoglio offering and can sprint to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.
All will be revealed in a week from tomorrow.
The new ‘Quadrifoglio GTA’ is likely to use an uprated version of the standard model’s 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 producing as much as 460 kW.
It may not pack 477 angry horses (356 kW) like the 4C Nemesis creation but we think this offering will hit the sweet spot that so many 4C customers will desire.
The manufacturer has officially stopped production which means only a few new 4Cs will be available for purchase at your local dealer.
