Here is a look at five famous fictional TV characters who certainly could benefit from CBD Oil and how they could benefit from it.
1. Archie Bunker from “All in the Family.”
There are many obvious ways Archie Bunker could benefit from using CBD oil. Obviously, Archie is always getting angry at people, especially Gloria’s husband Mike “Meathead” Stivic, who lives with him and disagrees with Archie on almost every political and social issue on the planet.
Maybe if Archie took CBD oil every day, the increased feeling of relaxation and feelings of well-being that studies say CBD oil helps to create. Maybe Archie and Mike would get along better if Archie was taking CBD oil on a regular basis.
Archie also has some chronic pain from an injury he suffered when he was serving in World War 2, you know, the big one. He got some shrapnel in a particular part of his body, the part that sits down in his favorite chair when he gets home from work.
2. Diane Chambers from “Cheers”
If ever there was an uptight and anxious character, Diane Chambers fits the bill. She was always struggling to be accepted in academic circles and yet also wanted to fit in with the gang that hung out at Cheers, the bar where she worked.
CBD oil would certainly help Diane deal with the high amount of sexual tension she feels towards Sam, the owner and bartender at Cheers and her on again, off again boyfriend. Whenever they are dating, there is tension because Sam’s lack of intellectual prowess and culture doesn’t live up to Diane’s expectations. When they are not dating, there is so much sexual tension and sometimes passive/aggressive hostility just beneath the surface that it has to make Diane feel anxious much of the time she’s at work.
Research indicates that CBD oil shows great promise towards helping to reduce anxiety and promotes an overall feeling of calm and well-being. Diane Chambers is one person who could certainly benefit.
3. Sheldon Cooper from “Big Bang Theory”
Sheldon is always worrying about something. The extremely intelligent scientist has difficulty reading social cues and knowing when and how to say the right thing.
Sheldon is also dealing with a definite case of obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD. We have all seen how this affects Sheldon. He always insists that he will only eat the same type of food from the same exact restaurant on specific days of the week. If somebody orders Thai food, for example, from a different Thai restaurant than Sheldon usually goes to, he is automatically suspicious and does not want to eat it.
He also demands to sit in his favorite spot on the couch and nobody else is allowed to sit on it when he is present. These are just a few of the ways that OCD makes Sheldon’s life more rigid and difficult and obviously, it makes things tougher for Raj, Leonard, Penny and all of Sheldon’s friends who have to constantly put up with this obsessive and demanding behavior.
Recent studies indicate that CBD oil may be beneficial for people suffering from OCD because of the way that CBD oil interacts with the endocannabinoid system of the brain. This could offer help for Sheldon Cooper and the many other people who are dealing with similar disorders and conditions.
4. Giordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation
Giordi La Forge, as played by LeVar Burton, is the Enterprise’s chief engineer in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Giordi was blind from birth and was able to see by wearing a special visor that allowed him to see visual inputs to his optic nerve. Using the visor, the character was able to see even better than humans who had natural vision and just used their eyes to look around them.
While it was not clear whether the visor caused Giordi any discomfort, actor LeVar Burton certainly did feel discomfort when wearing the visor on the set. In fact, the crew of the show redesigned the visor for season two because it was so uncomfortable.
Even the redesigned visor had its problems as it caused the actor to suffer headaches after wearing the device for longer than 15 or 20 minutes. He wore the device for six seasons of the show which means he had chronic headaches for six years.
CBD oil certainly could have provided Burton with relief for this pain had it been legally available to the actor during the shooting of the show in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
5. J.R. Ewing of “Dallas”
Back in 1980, the question on everybody’s mind was “Who shot J.R.? Dallas was the biggest prime-time soap opera on television and the sinister J.R. Ewing, played by former “I Dream of Jeanie” star Larry Hagman, was one of American’s favorite villains.
Ewing was a conniving man who was always scheming to get ahead. He resorted to bribery and blackmail to get what he wanted and the wealthy oil man usually got what he wanted. There was a softer side to this character as well and Hagman did his best to show that yes, J.R. did really love his family even if he was rarely nice to anybody else.
When Ewing was shot, he was in constant pain. CBD oil could have eased his chronic pain without significant side effects like many other prescription pain killers often have. The most common side effects from CBD oil are headache and dry mouth, a far cry from addictive medications like morphine which can cause serious problems if not used properly.
CBD oil could help these famous television characters improve their lives and it may be able to help you improve yours as well.
