There was a serious accident last night in Cape Town which involved a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. Sources say that the car was travelling towards town on the N2 when the driver lost control of the car, crashed through the Armco barrier, hit a pole and then landed in the outgoing lane of ‘Hospital Bend’ (notoriously bad bend on the highway in Cape Town). The car caught alight after the crash and the driver was taken to hospital with injuries that were unknown. A witness who drove past the accident scene said “they had just pulled the driver out and were struggling to pull out the passenger and by that time the car was already burning”. This is the second accident in Cape Town this year involving a Ferrari. The other was a Ferrari 458 Italia but not as serious as this one. I believe the driver is in good condition in hospital but no info on the passenger (and even if there was one). Click read more for full gallery…
