We were talking about the Radical SR8LM’s Nurburgring lap time just last week but that is old news now as the Nio EP9 electric hypercar just beat it with a time of 6 min 45.90 seconds.
This time means it is a full 2.1 seconds faster than the Radical and thus breaking the lap record for a road-legal car.
It packs a whopping 1 megawatt of power (1342 bhp) and is capable of hitting 100 km/h from standstill in just 2.7 seconds. Since claiming the overall lap record it also grabbed the four-wheel drive record and the electric record for a road-legal car.
Just 20 units will be made with the first six going to investors and owners of the company but if you are just some random, then you will need to fork out about R20 million ($1.48 million).
