Someone from Maserati has mentioned that the next-gen GranTurismo will be introduced towards the end of 2017. It will only come in coupe form which means the current GranCabrio is not going to get a new generation but the open-top Alfieri will fill this void.
In an interview with Auto Express, Maserati North Europe manager Peter Denton said the new GranTurismo is going to be “more compact rather than bigger”. The model will be offered exclusively in rear-wheel drive with a twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter developing more than 550 horses. Can’t wait to see and hear this new machine from the Italians.
