Students at the University of Stuttgart have just recorded the best 0 to 100 km/h time ever with their amazing 100 kW all-wheel drive fully electric vehicle kart thing. The Green Team Formula Students managed to get their vehicle to 100 km/h from stand still in a mind-warping 1.779 seconds which makes it 0.006 seconds faster than the previous record. The ‘car’ features four electric motors and since it only weighs 160kg, you get a power to weight ratio of 1.6kg/kW. The record is still unofficial as it has to be confirmed by Guinness World Records in the coming weeks.
