BMW has taken the covers off the i4 Concept which gives us our best look yet at the production i4 scheduled for next year.
The BMW i4 Concept may be just that, a concept car, but it’s apparently extremely close to production-ready. The road-legal production version will get new headlights, mirrors and of course some wipers.
That huge grille upfront is there to serve a purpose and not to just be controversial as it has become the location for a variety of sensors dubbed “Intelligence Panels”.
BMW says the i4 Concept uses a single electric motor capable of producing 530 hp (395 kW). This comes from an 80 kWh battery, which can send the i4 Concept to 100 km /h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds.
If you are tame with your right foot, the i4 Concept has an estimated EPA range of 270 miles (434 km) and a WLTP range of 373 miles (600 km).
