When Jaguar produced the F-Type it was a game change for them with a whole new clientele purchasing the brand but it now turns out someone is keen to turn the little British sportscar into a race car.
Nothing has been said by the factory but Autosport are reporting that there is a secret project underway at Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division and that secret project is a F-Type GT4. What makes this very interesting though is that although the project is reportedly being undertaken in-house by Jaguar, it’s being done on behalf of a paying customer.
The paying customer is reportedly Superdry clothing brand co-founder James Holder who is actually a racing driver and has been behind the wheel of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4. If the rumors are to be beleived, then Holder has commissioned three cars set to debut later this season in the GT4 European Series.
