Lapo Elkann is one of the heirs to the Fiat fortune and is known to spec and order cars in an outrageous military theme. One of those cars is a Ferrari 458 Italia and it is has just been auctioned off for a whopping $1 million. Elkann offered up his car to raise funds for AIDS research and the winning bidder was Ron Burkle who is an American billionaire investor and philanthropist who has close ties to the Clinton family.
This 458 is not wrapped but rather hand-painted bu the Ferrari Tailor Made division and the car features a very controversial matching interior. Love seeing charities supported by wealthy individuals but bidding the equivalent of R15 million on this piece of kit would not be the way to go for us.
