MINI has just finished up the new Convertible lineup with the hotted-up John Cooper Works version. As you would expect, it borrows its goods from the JCW hardtop hatch that was launched last year, including its B58 2.0-litre turbo charged engine with 228hp. As a reminder, this is an increase of 20hp over its predecessor, but more importantly it is also 135kg heavier. 0 to 100 km/h comes up in 6.6 seconds if you opt for the manual and 6.5 seconds if you for the 6-speed auto. You get the same dual pipe sports exhaust, re-tuned suspension, 17-inch/18-inch rims, and a series of cosmetic exterior upgrades such as the model-specific bumpers with enlarged ducts, LED headlamps, spoilers, red brake calipers and wider sills.
