When you see the BMW i8 you would expect it to have a menacing V8 or even a rocket under the hood but you would be horribly mistaken. In stock form you get a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder engine with a further boost thanks to some battery power to push the sleek machine to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Gabura Racing Technologies decided that this needed to change so they actually stripped the hybrid sports car to a shell and crammed in a 4.4-liter V8 from a BMW M6. This particular engine is good for 560 horsepower in stock state but this particular unit has been given the Alpina treatment to deliver at least 200 horses more. The engine sits up front and to balance things off a little, Gabura Racing Technologies will likely fit a six-speed sequential gearbox at the rear. With around 800 hp and the superb sound of a V8 coming out of this thing, it will now suit the insane styling. Check them out on Facebook.
