You may know that the Dubai Motor Show is happening since we saw the revealing of the Fenyr SuperSport and McLaren are not going to be left out. Alonside the new 570S sits a bespoke P1 and this McLaren 650S Spider Al Sahara 79. As you would expect, the car was developed by the team from MSO and the pearlescent white gold pain is inspired by the golden sands of the Middle East’s landscape. To get the gold white finish, the MSO team needed to add 24 carat gold particles which would likely pump up the price tag and this is most certainly the case.
Like the standard 650S Spider, the Al Sahara 79 features a retractable hard top and lightweight forged alloy wheels, finished here in gloss black. Carbon fiber is utilized for the side intakes, front splitter and rear diffuser. MSO love to get their hands on the interior and this is certainly the case with this special car. The paint scheme extends to the steering wheel, center console and door panels around the heating and ventilation controls. Lastly, a dark golden finish was applied to all switchgear and heating vents. The price has been set at 1,456,308 AED (approx $400,000) which is about $140k more than standard spec.
