When someone buys the new Mercedes-AMG GT S they don’t generally think about adding to its already powerful 503 hp engine but then you get the team from Brabus who think very differently. To prove their point, they will be bringing an upgraded GT S with 592 horses to Frankfurt Motor Show and with the performance improvement comes a few styling enhancements too. The kit they install is the Brabus PowerXtra B40 – 600 performance kit and this consists of a new mapping for injection and ignition as well as increased boost pressure. The mods mean there is an increase of 88 hp and 100 Nm over the standard car. These new numbers mean it can hit 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds which is 0.2 seconds quicker than stock and go on to hit 325 km/h. Other than the tuning, Brabus added a quad exhaust, sports suspension with 15 mm lower ride height and an aero kit. The aero kit consists of more aggressive bumpers and spoilers, new design air outlets for the front fenders, new rocker panels and a rear diffuser with tailor-made cutouts for the four tailpipes. With a Brabus car, you can go mad on the interior and you can customize pretty much every single part. What are your thoughts on this upgraded GT S?
