Volvo has recently acquired a 100% stake in their performance company known as Polestar. The partnership initially started in motorsport but it recent years it was expanded to the hotted up road-going models. This year, Volvo are aiming to sell 750 units of the Polestar-tuned S60 and V60 worldwide and are estimating this to grow to around 1500 units now that they have bought Polestar. The financial details regarding the deal are not available but we know their next project will be to work on the second-gen XC90 T8 Twin Engine which will be turbocharged and supercharged mixed up with an electric motor.
