Just a few days ago some pictures surfaced of Porsche’s updated 911 Carrera, 991.2, but now we have some official specs thanks to German media. The spec confirm the updated 911 Carrera models will adopt smaller, turbocharged engines, meaning the only 911 variants to be naturally aspirated going forward will be the track-focused GT cars. Porsche will fit the Carrera and Carrera S with a 3.0litre flat-six turbocharged engine which will give the models 370 hp and 420 hp respectively. Top speed of the cars will remain unchanged but the 0 to 60 times should improve by 0.1 seconds for both variants meaning the Carrera S should be able to take care of the sprint in a very potent 3.8 seconds. Some other changes include the option of four-wheel-steering as well as front-lift system to avoid nasty speed bumps. The updated Carrera models are due in local showrooms early next year.
