Tobias Moers is the CEO of AMG and he has dropped a few hints about the possibility of coming out with a direct competitor for the brilliant Porsche 918 Spyder. Motor Trend asked him whether they are developing a rival for the 918 Spyder, P1 and LaFerrari and his response was “we want to be seen by the public on the same level as other sports car maker in Germany” and that their desire is to “make race technology street-legal”. Not sure what the chances of this happening are but if it does we can probably expect the car to pack an uprated version of the new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 working in conjunction with some electric motors to push output over the 1000 hp mark.
