There is a first time for everything and this time it swings in favour of Maserati as they have managed to post a bigger profit than Ferrari in the third quarter of 2014. Maserati posted a third quarter operating profit of €90 million which is more than double compared to the same period last year when they managed €43 million. Ferrari managed just €1 million less than Maserati for the third quarter and this is likely to be caused by the departure of Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. Ferrari are still ahead of Maserati for the year thus far but it is great to Maserati getting stronger thanks to sales of the Ghibli and Quattroporte.
