Last year at the Geneva Motor Show the Pininfarina Sergio Concept was shown and it obviously generated a lot of interest. Underneath the slick speedster shape sits the running gear of the Ferrari 458 Spider and it was initially built as a once-off showpiece but now Ferrari have stated that they will be building 6 examples of this car. Before the collectors jump on the phone, there is no rush as they have all been spoken for. Deliveries will take place next year in the U.S., Europe and Asia but no one knows what the exact price will be. A production version of the Serigio concept would cost around $3.82 million but I would not expect Ferrari’s production examples to cost this much. It will be considerably lighter than the 458 Spider so it should be considerably faster and Pininfarina have quoted a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.4 seconds.
