The awesome looking BMW i8 comes with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that turns the rear wheels which an electric motor does all the work up front. When combined, these units produce a total of 357 hp and allow the car to hit 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Many individuals are begging for the V10 to come back but with strict regulations these days, those may be a thing of the past for BMW. BMW have not said that they will offer an M version and to be honest I don’t see why they would but after seeing these i8M renderings from CarThrottle it should be a no brainer. OK maybe the quad exhausts wont quite work (considering it is a three-cylinder) but the styling can be changed quite easily to make it look like a proper M car. Flared arches, deep cooling ducts, redesigned front and rear bumper, lowered ride height and those oh-so-awesome M wheels complete the package really well! This looks so much more serious than the ‘standard’ i8 and I am sure you will all agree.
