The high-performance version of the 2015 hatch will debut in pre-production form at next months Detroit Auto Show. It will be called the Mini John Cooper Works Concept but you can pretty much bet your bottom dollar that the JCW version will look just like this. Highways Grey paint with red accents, bespoke aero pack and some 18″ JCW alloys turn the car into something to look at. No details regarding the engine have been released but it it likely to be a tuned version of the 2.0-litre engine that will be fitted to the new Cooper S. Output will be bigger than the current Mini JCW which sits at 208 hp and the performance aspect is visually enhanced with some larger air intakes, bonnet bulge and scoop and some good looking aero bits and pieces too. Who thinks this is a dramatic improvement to the new Mini aesthetics or is it just tugging on the performance strings?
