We just saw the teaser this morning and new we get the real deal… 100km/h comes up in less than 5 seconds thanks to the AWD 4Motion. With the DSG gearbox you hit 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and with manual you hit it in 5.3 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250km/h but what makes thi stand out is that it is 5 inches lower than the new GTI. This will make it brilliant around a track and it has a so-called ‘race mode’. The DSG can apparently do 6.9-litres per 100km which makes it a big improvement on the predecessor! It looks brilliant in my opinion. I like the subtle tweak to the current R rims, the oval quad pipes, the lower ride height and the redesigned front facia! The full house on the GTI sits at around R460k so we can expect the R to hit the R500k mark which for me is just mind-boggling!
