These are the first pics of the brand new Caterham called the 620R. It is apparently the most bonkers road-going version ever and will show its face at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The best part? It hits 100km/h in under 2.8 seconds which makes it faster than the Aventador. It is powered by a 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine and it has been given a lovely supercharger to push power to 310hp. Where does it get its name from? Well seeing as it only weighs around 500kg, it has a figure of 620hp-per-tonne hence the 620R. This is a proper track-day machine and must one hell of a blast to drive… With a price-tag of £50k, it is not cheap but it will beat most things on the day…
